I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Life Coach. I provide talking therapy where your well-being is my priority.
I will listen in confidence and without judgement to ensure you will be heard and use a range of therapeutic and/or coaching approaches, as this enables me to tailor sessions to suit to the needs of each individual client.
Working in this integrative way helps to build the relationship between us. I will work alongside you to provide support as you explore and process your feelings, gradually increasing your self-awareness and begin to feel empowered. I do sometimes use creative techniques alongside my talking therapies (or coaching), such as visualisations, art, and breathing techniques - all of which are only introduced with your full agreement and as your therapy/coaching progresses.
More details available on request and I look forward to meeting you!
I empathise with the pain, confusion and difficulty of life's transitions. Having navigated my own journeys in life and understood what it feels like to meet forks in the road and feel unsure of oneself when you do. So, I can apply this knowledge, along with my professional training when working with you.
Prior to setting up my own practice I worked voluntarily in several community counselling settings whilst training to gain valuable experience. I also have previous experience in both the public sector and private world of business, prior to becoming a therapist, which has provided me with knowledge and an understanding in many areas.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling Society, both of which have strict ethical codes, as well as professional standards of confidentiality and practice to which I subscribe.
As part of my commitment to ongoing professional development I have further training booked already for the coming year and ensure that I keep abreast of new developments in the therapy world.
